Where our name grows from

Our hotels are now all part of Flóra Collection.

Each of our hotels has its own character, identity and guests. Our new name lets us celebrate what makes each place special, while bringing our people, strengths and ambitions together.

Flóra is the plant life of a place: the mosses, lichens, grasses and wild flowers that make up a landscape. Iceland's plant life is resilient and wonderfully diverse. Shaped by wind and harsh weather, it grows close to the ground, holds on through long winters and returns every year. Our hotels are much the same: each different in character, all rooted in the same place.

Icelandic design, start to finish

Símon Viðarsson and Anton Illugason designed the new brand identity, including Flóra Bespoke, a typeface drawn only for us.

Our seal and pattern are the work of Arnar Helgi Garðarsson.

The seal draws on the old wax seal, a mark that showed where something came from. For us it works as a seal of approval: wherever it appears, it stands for the values and standards we share across every Flóra property.
The pattern features seven plants found in Iceland: harebell, field forget-me-not, water forget-me-not, wild pansy, alpine mouse-ear, sea mayweed and rhododendron.

The places

The collection is made up of five hotels in the Reykjavík capital area and Port9. Our story began in 2011, when Reykjavík Residence Hotel opened in historic houses in the centre of the city, where it still offers apartment stays today. Tower Suites has eight suites on the 20th floor of Höfðatorg, with views across the city. ODDSSON Midtown and ODDSSON Downtown are built around modern design and easy, comfortable stays. 201 Hotel in Kópavogur joined in 2025. Port9, Iceland's oldest wine bar, recently celebrated its tenth birthday.

The people

Around 120 people work across the collection. The way they look after guests gives each place its character, more than any building or design.

Flóra Collection is a new name, not a new company. The owners and the teams are the same.

Like the plants in our pattern, our hotels, and the people who work in them, each have their own character, and those differences make us stronger. We are not trying to make them alike, only to let each one grow in its own way. We look forward to welcoming you.
